Text Box: on.” On 11/29 we fired up the aerators on the east and west ends, including the new line put into the south bay.
The aerators have run continuously since then and we have had excellent results so far. Given the high volume of snow and extremely cold temperatures so far this winter, we don’t anticipate turning them off at all until Spring.
We’ll be posting pictures of the aerators in action, shortly.
Quarterly Meeting
The date and agenda for the next quarterly meeting is posted on the other side of this page. History has shown that the January Meetings are sparsely attended but if the weather is good, we hope you can make it.
And the next newsletter will return to its longer form and in it we’ll have updates on two meeting this month.
In the meantime, the Board hopes everyone had a Text Box: A new year and two meetings right off the bat. This will be a brief 2-page newsletter to announce these two meetings and given everyone an update on the aerators.
Lake Advisory Group
When Peppermill Lake was awarded a grant three years ago or so to develop and maintain a lake management plan, one of the requirements was to hold at least one meeting a year to allow all users of the Lake, regardless of residency, to give input that could help shape the direction of the plan going forward.

By constantly re-evaluating the plan based on the previous year’s results, we hope to institutionalize a process that lets us learn from our mistakes and our successes.
The next Lake Advisory Group meeting is scheduled for January 9 at 11 AM in Text Box: Room A231 at the Adams County Court House. If you cannot make it in person, comments/suggestions/criticisms can be submitted by mail or email and will become part of the record. You can send input to any of the board members listed to the left. For those who don’t have email, please submit your thoughts to the PO Box address listed on the back of this newsletter.

To view the plan as it exists today you can do so by going to http://www.peppermillake.com/ .
You will see links right on the Home page for the Plan.
Aerator Update
In past newsletters we tried to keep everyone informed on the status of the aeration systems on the lake, in light of the problems we had last winter.
Around the weekend of 11/20-11/22 the lake froze over - commonly called “ice Rounded Rectangle: Your Board of Directors
