Text Box: unknown.  The plan will be to investigate and then plan for control.  Typically, the seepage is due to uncontrolled water passing through a dam, which is not always a bad thing.  The proper construction should be to install a drain to properly collect and discharge the water.  There are other possible reasons for the seepage; however the 2008 monitoring indicated the lake level affected the seepage, therefore indicating water from the lake is moving through the dam other than the Text Box: Dam Update

Later this spring or early summer you may see some activity at our dam. The county conducts regular inspections and last year some seepage was discovered. Below is the assessment from Patrick Gatterman from the County:

“During routine inspections by Adams County Land and Water Conservation Department, there is some emergent seepage on the downstream toe on the left side of the outlet.  The cause is Text Box: outlet.  This project will be handled by Ayres and Associates.”
